General Information
The appropriate dress can make your trip more enjoyable and keep you comfortable. During our operating season, May through September, weather can vary from 35 to 90 . The weather can change dramatically in just a few hours. It is always advised that you dress for the best weather but bring along a warm wool sweater or fleece jacket just in case.
We can provide the equipment to keep you happy under any condition. We always have rain suits, splash jackets, wetsuits, river boots, mittens and fleece jackets available for a nominal charge. In addition, a wide variety of appropriate clothing and accessories are available for purchase at our headquarters.
There is always the potential that your personal items will float away. Please don't bring any valuables including expensive jewelry on the rafts. Eyeglasses, sunglasses and hats should be secured around your head with some sort of retainer, on any whitewater trip. Our outfitters store is proud to stock a variety of retention devices to minimize the chance that you will lose anything.
We encourage the use of waterproof cameras and they can be purchased at our headquarters.
Footwear
Shoes or sandals are mandatory. Your feet are going to get wet on the river trip, so please plan ahead. We recommend tennis shoes or sandals that fasten around the ankles. Flip-flop style sandals are not appropriate. Again we are happy to rent boots or neoprene socks that will keep your feet warm even on the coldest of days to anyone who needs them.
