Risk Management

  • Our goal is to make your river adventure with us a fun and rewarding experience. However it important to understand that whitewater rafting, kayaking, fishing, and even scenic float trips have inherent risks. That is part of what makes these activities exciting and enjoyable.
  • In order to minimize these risks, we take a number of precautions. Our guides undergo an extensive training program , and run hundreds of miles of river before they are eligible to conduct commercial trips. Our full time guides are certified whitewater rescue technicians,(www.rescue3.com/) have a minimum of wilderness first aid certification, (aeriebackcountrymedicine.com/)and are certified in CPR. We use state of the art self-bailing rafts and equipment. Whenever possible, we utilize radio communication on our trips.
  • It is your responsibility to evaluate your level of fitness and select a trip appropriate for you and your group. All participants will be required to read and sign an assumption of risk form . (Print Risk Form, requires acrobat). In addition all participants will be required to fill out a notification of medical condition form. (Print Medical Form, requires acrobat). In addition all participants will be required to fill out a notification of medical condition form. (Print Medical Form, requires acrobat).
  • Prior to every trip our guides will give a safety talk , highlighting some of the potential risks on the trip and discussing prevention and response techniques. Participants will be given every opportunity to "opt out" if they feel they have signed up for a trip which is to demanding for them.

  • All participants must be able to fit into one of our lifejackets with all buckles fastened.
  • We cannot allow anyone impaired by drugs or alcohol to go on our trips.
Minors

  • All minors under the age of 18 must have an assumption of risk form signed by their parent or guardian. We will not accept forms signed by other relatives, friends, or chaperones.
Photo Release

  • We reserve the reserve the right to take photographic, video, film or digital records of any river trip, tour or program. All participants will be asked to sign an agreement which allows us to use such photographic records for promotional, advertising or commercial purposes.
Forest Service Permits

  • The Middle Fork and North Fork of the Flathead are designated as wild and scenic rivers, and managed by the U.S. Forest Service. We operate our trips on these rivers under a special use permit issued by the Flathead National Forest.
Outfitting License

  • The State of Montana requires that all guided fishing trips must be run by licensed guides working under an outfitter who is licensed by the Board of Outfitters. Bob Jordan is the outfitter of record for Wild River Adventures and holds license #36.
Cancellation Policy

  • Our operating permits limit the number of passengers we can take on any given launch. If you make a reservation on one of our trips, you are guaranteed a spot on one of our trips and we may be forced to turn other people away. We understand that plans do change so we provide one of the most liberal cancellation policies in the industry.
  • If you cancel at least 10 or more days in advance you will get a 100% refund.
  • If you cancel 1-9 days before the trip you will get a 50% refund and a coupon good for 50% credit on any our trips in the future.
  • If you cancel the day of the trip you will not be eligible for a refund but will get a coupon for 100% credit on any of our trips in the future.
  • If you are a no-show you will not be eligible for a refund or credit.
  • We regret that we are unable to provide refunds for personal emergencies or illness. We therefore recommend a trip cancellation insurance policy, available through American Outdoors. Please call us for more details.
