Risk Management

We love what we do and truly enjoy sharing our river adventures with our customers. Our goal is to make river travel a fun, and rewarding experience for the entire family. However white water rafting has inherent risks. That is part of what makes it an exciting activity.

In order to minimize these risks we take a number of precautions. Our guides undergo an extensive training program and run hundreds of miles of river before they are eligible to conduct commercial trips. They have training in river rescue techniques, wilderness first aid and lifesaving. We use state of the art rafts and equipment. Whenever possible, we utilize radio communication.

All of our guests are given a pre trip safety talk. It is your responsibility to evaluate your level of fitness and to select a trip appropriate for you and your group. You will be required to read and sign an assumption of risk form / parental guidance prior to any trip.

Our Equipment:

Self-Bailing Boat – A Self-Bailing Raft has an inflatable floor, with holes along the perimeter, which allow the boat to drain immediately. We use the highest quality rafts and kayaks, which all feature these self-bailing floors. The end result is you have a more enjoyable, comfortable and safe trip on the river.

Life jackets – Everyone wears a life-jacket at all times on our trips. We use only the best quality Coast Guard Approved Type V personal flotation devices.

Complete Wetsuit Package – Includes a “farmer john” wetsuit, neoprene booties, a fleece jacket, and a splash jacket. This is included on our full day, multi day and wild side trip. Wetsuits are provided on all trips when conditions warrant, and available for rent for a nominal fee throughout the season
