Wild River Adventures is the only Montana outfitter on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River offering experienced rafters extra thrills in our sporty 12-13′ self-bailing high-performance rafts. On a normal rafting trip you will get wet, but on the Wild Side Adventure, you will get SOAKED! These small boats provide maximum excitement and require your full participation.

This is the ideal trip for small groups of great adventurers who want a private boat and maximum excitement. These sport rafts can only hold four guests at a time so space on these trips is limited.

During our Spring Runoff season (May-June) Wild Side Raft trips are for experienced river runners only. No experience is necessary for first-timers who want to go for the gusto during our usual Summer Flows. This trip is suitable for children age 13 (if accompanied by an adult) and over during the summer months.

Is prior rafting experience required for Wild Side Sport Rafting?

Not necessarily! During the Spring Runoff season (May-June), Wild Side Raft trips are best suited for experienced river runners. However, during our usual Summer Flows, no prior experience is required. First-timers are welcome to join in on the fun and excitement!

We recommend wearing quick-drying clothes or a swimsuit, along with secure, closed-toe shoes. Don’t worry about wetsuits or helmets—we’ll provide those, along with river booties, to keep you safe and comfortable. Don’t forget to check your trip itinerary email for more.

On a normal rafting trip, you’ll get wet, but on the Wild Side Adventure, you’ll get SOAKED! These smaller high-performance rafts are designed for maximum thrills, so prepare to fully embrace the river’s splashy excitement.

Yes. This trip is suitable for adventurers aged 13 and older. For children under 18, an accompanying adult is required.

Trips typically last between 2.5 and 3.5 hours, depending on river flow. We offer two daily departures from our office—at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Please arrive 30 minutes early to check in and gear up!
