Getting to Wild River Adventures is easy! Use this guide to find directions to our base, plan your trip, and start your adventure without a hitch. Whether you’re driving in or need additional travel tips, we’ve got you covered.
Our office is located on Highway 2 East, in West Glacier, MT, and one mile west of the junction to the west entrance of Glacier National Park. We are next door to Kruger Helicopter Tours to the East and the Rawhide Trading Post to the West. Watch for our log office building which has our name, Wild River, on the roof.
If you are coming from the West (Big Fork, Kalispell, Whitefish, Columbia Falls) make your way up to Highway 2 East and watch for the signs to West Glacier. We are one mile before the junction to the park and are on the right side of the highway. You will see a sign for Krueger Helicopters followed by our sign which says RAFTING with inflatable kayaks on each side of the sign. We have log buildings with green roofs, and you will see blue rafts and drift boats in our yard.
If you are coming from the East – (East Glacier, Browning or Great Falls) follow Highway 2 to West Glacier; once you arrive at the junction with the road going into the Park, continue west on Highway 2 for one mile and look for us on the left side of the highway. Our next door neighbor, Rawhide Trading Post, has horses, teepees, and a covered wagon out front; pull into the driveway we share with them and you will see our log cabin office with a Wild River sign on the roof.
If you are coming from the Park itself ( Lake McDonald, Rising Sun, St. Mary) head east on Going to the Sun Highway past the West Glacier entrance station and take a right (heading west) on Highway 2. Go approximately 1 mile and look for us on the left side of the highway. If you will be using a GPS, our physical address is 11900 Highway 2 East, West Glacier, Montana. However, please note that some systems put us on the wrong side of the road or even in the middle of the Park! Best to use our GPS Coordinates which are: N48 28.192, W 114 00.033

It’s never been easier getting to Wild River Adventures! You can fly directly into the new centrally located Glacier Park International Airport (FCA). Delta’s connector SkyWest Airlines provides regional jets daily through Salt Lake City. Northwest Airlines arrives daily with jets connecting through Minneapolis. Horizon/Alaska Air connects regularly through Seattle. United Airlines will provide services from Denver starting summer 07. US Airways also has flights to Glacier Park Airport. Charter aircraft are also available from most US and Canada cities. Airline service is subject to change.
Glacier International Airport is located approximately 25 miles from our office in Kalispell, MT. Taxi service is available to West Glacier. Call Classy Cabs @ (406) 8952-0167 or Kalispell Taxi @ (406) 752-4022.
All the major rental car companies have offices based in Kalispell. Click on the Dollar Car Rental logo for more information and reservations. You can also rent cars in West Glacier. Call the Glacier Highland @ (406) 888-5427.
The next closest airport is in Missoula, MT, some 136 miles from West Glacier. AMTRAK is currently providing daily service to West Glacier during the summer season.
