Guides are passionate about their craft and take great pleasure in sharing their expertise with anglers of all skill levels.

Wild River Adventures is committed to maintaining a healthy fish population in the Flathead and we stress catch and release ethics using only barbless flies. We fly fish primarily for native westslope cutthroat trout. Our outfitter and guides are licensed by the Montana Board of Outfitters.

A state fishing license is required on all of our trips and we recommend you purchase your fishing license in advance. You can buy them at local sporting good stores or order your fishing license online. For more information on fishing regulations, contact Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks.

We offer Half Day, Full Day, and Multi-Day Trips as well as a fly fishing school. Our prices are based on two anglers per boat and the season runs approximately from mid-June through September. Price does not include an 8% land use fee or gratuity.

What kind of fish can I catch on a fly fishing trip?

Our fishing trips focus on native West Slope cutthroat trout, but you may also catch rainbow trout and other species depending on the river conditions.

Yes, a state fishing license is required on all of our trips. We recommend purchasing your fishing license in advance via Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks or at a local sporting goods store. All our guides are licensed by the Montana Board of Outfitters, ensuring a safe and professional experience.

Of course! Our expert guides are happy to provide lessons for beginners and will make sure you’re comfortable with casting and fishing techniques.

Yes, all of our fishing trips are guided by experienced anglers who are passionate about the sport and enjoy teaching anglers of all skill levels.

We offer both half-day and full-day trips. Half-day trips last approximately 4 hours, while full-day trips last around 8 hours.
