Flathead River Rafting is undoubtedly one of the top Montana rafting trips. This extraordinary adventure combines breathtaking scenic beauty with exhilarating whitewater experiences, promising an unforgettable journey for all nature enthusiasts and thrill-seekers.
Throughout the year, the Flathead River offers varying river ratings, ensuring there is something for everyone. During the spring and early summer, when the snow melts, the river showcases its exhilarating side with challenging class III and IV rapids. As the season progresses, the water levels decrease, providing an opportunity for scenic floats with class II rapids, perfect for photographers and those seeking a more relaxed drift down the river.
A half-day trip is a 9-mile float that typically lasts 2-4 hours where you get to experience the main whitewater section of the Middle Fork, whereas the full-day trip is a 16-mile float lasting 6-8 hours with beautiful scenic water and breathtaking views of glacier National Park accompanied with a deli-style lunch on the riverside before experiencing the main whitewater section. Both are incredible experiences!
Scenic rafting trips offer a calm, relaxing float through stunning landscapes, perfect for families, young children, or those looking to unwind. Whitewater rafting trips provide an adventurous ride through thrilling rapids, ideal for those seeking excitement on the river.
For those looking for an evening experience, join us for a float and a meal on our Evening Dinner Float.
