Day 1
Your adventure begins at the Wild River Adventures office in West Glacier, where you’ll meet your guides, check in, and get fitted with all the necessary rafting equipment before shuttling to the launch site.
Once on the river, the pace immediately slows as the North Fork carries you through one of the most pristine stretches of wilderness in the region. Crystal-clear water, towering mountains, and untouched forests create an atmosphere that feels worlds away from everyday life. From the river, you’ll enjoy incredible views into Glacier National Park, with peaks like Mount Cleveland, Kintla Peak, Kinnerly Peak, Mount Carter, and Numa Peak rising in the distance.
Throughout the day, keep watch for deer, elk, bears, moose, and birds of prey along the river corridor. There are also plenty of opportunities to cool off with a swim before stopping for a freshly prepared riverside lunch.
